USM Modular Furniture is a global brand headquartered in Switzerland specializing in highly configurable home and office furniture. Previously focused on the European Market, USM recently decided to enter the US Market to introduce its vision of timeless innovation to customers otherwise accustomed to fixed designs. Leveraging its unique Haller System, USM focuses on modular design and sustainability in order to convey a sense of freedom and flexibility to its customers’ needs.
My role centered around designing the website for the US Market and creating a user experience that catered to USM’s diversity in ready-made and modular system furniture.
Restructured site map to make it easier for customers to navigate the product categories by reducing the number of clicks required to access the same content.
Focused on integrating USM’s brand colors throughout the website in order to create a cohesive connection between the experience of navigating the website and the furniture itself.
Designed the layout to accentuate USM’s vision of simplifying the complexities of modularity by providing broad information in the top hero image module followed by more specific information as the customer further explores the website.
Simplified and streamlined the amalgamation of information presented in the international versions of the website by adhering to USM’s concept of modularity.
Created hotspots within the Inspiration Gallery page in order to connect customers directly to the product page of the furniture showcased instead of filtering through the product categories.
Created simple sectional modules by leveraging USM’s unique imagery.
